Learn to Skate and Play Hockey - Adult Development Program/Hockey 101

For the adult who is looking to get into the sport we have Hockey 101 and the Adult Development Program.  Hockey 101 teaches skating basics and ADP is to learn and practice the skills and  develop skills that will allow you to more fully enjoy the game at whatever level you play. Come get a workout and relieve some stress! Improve your Senior Open League game!  These programs will share the ice on Monday nights. Choose 101 or ADP when you register.  

Adult Development Program & Hockey 101

Pay $200 for all 8 weeks or $30 for individual weeks.

Must Have, Be or Do: 

  • MUST BE 18 or older, men and women!
  • Registration is limited to 25 players - register early to guarantee a spot!
  • Must have FULL GEAR – Equipment Not Provided
  • If you need gear, we rent gear (based on availability), contact us
  • Must be registered with USA Hockey for the current season! Register online at USA Hockey Member Registration

The Program:

The goal of the Adult Hockey Development Program is to learn and practice the skills of the game in order to develop skills that will allow you to more fully enjoy the game at whatever level you play. Come get a workout and relieve some stress! Improve your Senior Open League game!

Who are the Coaches...

Coach Mike Kiene

Mike Kiene ( pronounced Key-Nee) is originally from Hartford Connecticut and has lived in several states lastly from The Tampa Bay area. He moved to Madison in 2009. Mike comes from a hockey family where at the age of five he started playing youth hockey. Mike played all throughout High School and in collegiate levels. He has been involved in both playing or coaching rolls ever since.  Here in Huntsville, he has been coaching the ADP learn to skate program for the last 2 years as well as playing in the SOL league.
His wife and daughter really enjoy the Huntsville area and what it has to offer.
